We know the ability to protect your privacy is essential to maintaining a relationship of trust between Black Youth Leadership Project (BYLP) and all of our users, whether they are nonprofit organizations, schools, volunteers, donors or other visitors to our site. Our privacy policy is intended to help you understand our online information collection and how the information collected is secured.

You may have accessed BYLP directly by visiting our Website, the home page of which is located at, through a search engine, or through one of our Community/Corporate Partners (Partners). How We Use Information

The only time BYLP will ask for your personal information is when signing up for one of our mailing lists or enrolling you in one of our programs. We will always use a return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Please be aware that, to the extent required to provide our services, we share student basic (name, age, grade level, school) information with volunteers, and our Partners, as applicable. WE DO NOT PROVIDE LISTS OF STUDENTS TO ANY THIRD PARTY SOURCES, any information we collect is for our sole use.

For Volunteers

All information collected for volunteers is for BYLP use only. No information will be provided to third parties.

For Donors

Donor information is kept completely confidential. We will not share any information on donations made through the BYLP website with any third parties.

A cookie file contains information that can identify you anonymously and maintain your privacy. Cookies are used for the secure sections of our site including the volunteer section. Additionally, Cookies are used by some of our partners who provide services in connection with our site.

Individuals who receive BYLP communications are on an opt-in basis. All communications are optional. Users may remove their Information from our database so as not to receive our service or future communications by sending an email to

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of Information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the Information we collect online.

Changes to Policy

BYLP reserves the right to change its privacy policies. All visitors of our site will be notified of changes at the BYLP start-up screen. If you object to any such changes, your sole recourse shall be to cease using the BYLP Website. Continued use of the BYLP Website following notice of any such changes shall indicate your acknowledgement of such changes and agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of such changes.
